Margot Potter, M.D., is a Birmingham native and has been specializing in women's health in Birmingham since 2014. Dr. Potter practices obstetric care and benign gynecology including outpatient and inpatient surgery. She is a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Potter has special interests in adolescent gynecology, minimally invasive surgery and obstetrics. She believes in patient autonomy as well as patient education that should be centered around evidence-based care, and she encompasses her practice around this principle. One of the most important aspects of her practice is the relationship she builds with her patients that is grounded in trust and open communication.
Having competed as a Division I swimmer at Louisiana State University and in the 2000 Olympic team trials, Dr. Potter understands the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle. When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and running.
